The German restaurant chain Sausalitos was founded in Ingolstadt in 1994 and currently operates branches at around 50 locations. The concept combines Californian-Mexican cuisine (“Cal-Mex”) with a wide range of cocktails and a carefree party experience in the style of the Californian lifestyle. The holding company, headquartered in Munich, assumes central functions such as system management, controlling, and marketing. Sausalitos is among the top 10 German leisure catering companies. The branches are typically divided into four areas: a bar, a bistro, a restaurant, and an outdoor area (terrace or beer garden). The interior is based on the so-called “Santa Fe style” and creates a relaxed, inviting atmosphere. Regular events and parties are an integral part of the concept.
